HRTC announces special buses for Ardh Kumbh

SHIMLA: Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has announced a special package for pilgrims of Ardh Kumbh starting from February 5 at Haridwar.

Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has announced a special package for pilgrims of Ardh Kumbh starting from February 5 at Haridwar.

Transport Minister G.S. Bali said a group of more than 25 pilgrims or its representative could avail the benefit of the package for which they would have to approach the regional managers or divisional managers of the HRTC for special booking and package with a written request along with advance payment of Rs 1,000.

He added that for security of the pilgrims and their valuables and coordination with the local police on the way, police personnel, preferably a woman would be deployed. Breakfast/lunch/dinner during the journey (including return) would be provided to the pilgrims at reasonable rates at earmarked dhabas, having proper washroom facilities.

To pick a group of pilgrims up to the radium of 25 km, the Regional Manager concerned would provide a conveyance on actual bus fare basis.
