Hindustani music festival from tomorrow

A one-day Hindustani music festival, dedicated to Parveen Begum, will be held at Srijana auditorium located at Karnatak College campus here from Saturday.

The event will be organised by the Parveen Begum Memorial Music and Education Trust, Bengaluru.

The event will provide an opportunity for music enthusiasts to enjoy rendition by vocalists and musicians, who would enthralling the audience during the three hour programme.

Artistes, like Hindustani vocalist Tejaswini Malagi of Hubballi, sarani player Sarfaraj Khan and classical vocalist Fayaj Khan, will perform.

They will be accompanied by Ustad Sarvar Hussain of Kolkata on the sarangi, Shridhar Mandre, Guruprasad Hegde and Uday Kulkarni on the tabla and the harmonium.
