Nation stands united with Kashmir as Solidarity Day being observed today

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif will meet with Kashmir's leaders.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan will be showing solidarity with its Kashmiri brothers as nation observes “Kashmir Solidarity Day” on Friday 5th of February against Indian oppression and occupation of the land. A national holiday will be observed and rallies will be taken out to show support for the Kashmir cause.

In a show of solidarity, a 1 minute silence will be observed throughout country at 10 am for the oppressed and the downtrodden masses of Kashmir.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif will meet with Kashmir’s leaders as well. The PM is also expected to address the joint meeting of the Legislative Assembly and the Council of Azad Kashmir.

In the Federal Capital Islamabad, major rallies are expected and in a show of support for the people of Kashmir, preparations are also underway for the formation of a human hand chain which will include women and children.

Demonstrations, rallies will also be held in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
