Jammu, February 4
Secretary Tourism Farooq Shah, also chairman of the board of governors of the Food Craft Institute (FCI), today held the governing board meeting in Jammu.
Director Tourism Jammu RK Verma, FA/CAO Manav Gupta and other officials participated in the meeting.
Shah instructed the officials to shift the FCI to the newly constructed building at Jagti in Jammu, which would be operational in March.
He set a target of 2,000 admissions for management of the FCI, which would be the future human resource for catering to the emerging hospitality sector in the country.
It would be a skilled manpower, be in good demand in the future and generate employment avenues as trained human resource would be absorbed in the hospitality sector in the country and abroad.
Shah assured the management all kind of help to equip this institute with the latest gadgetry and machinery required to run it as a successful institute.
He urged the management to tie up with different hospitality chains and placement agencies to get passouts of the institute multiple job opportunities. — TNS
