When Sahil and Shamata almost got married
Their sizzling chemistry in Ashutosh Gowariker’s 'Everest' was appreciated by many, but Sahil Salathia and Shamata Anchan didn’t do any other TV show together after that.

But now, their equation has helped the two land a part in an international film, 'Heartbeats'. Sahil says, “It’s being directed by Duane Adler (who wrote the 'Step Up' series).The first thing he asked us when we met him was if we were a couple.”

So, are the two dating? “Of course not,” he insists, “We are good friends and are comfortable around each other.
That’s probably why everyone thinks we are dating.” Shamata adds, “We shot Everest for about a year in extreme condition. That’s when we became good friends.”

Recalling how the two almost got married while shooting a scene in the film, they say, “The wedding set-up was so real — a real pundit was reciting the mantras and we even took the pheras — that we freaked out.” Sahil adds, “Getting married, even if it’s on screen, is tedious. I’ve now decided that I will have a beach wedding and turn up for it in shorts!”
