A man has been charged with sexually assaulting a boy in the 1970s.

Barry Millard, 68, of Keymer Road, Crawley, is charged with two counts of indecent assaults on a boy aged between 13 and 15 in the town between 1977 and 1979.

Sussex Police have asked for anyone who knows of similar cases to come forward.

The assaults are alleged to have taken place at the then Crawley Boys Club in London Road and at an address in Lavington Close, Ifield.

The club closed many years ago and the offences have no connection with the current club or anyone working there, Sussex Police said.

Mr Millard is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 18 April.
