An elderly woman is in hospital after driving her vehicle into Lake Ontario near Kingston, Ont. on Wednesday night.
According to reports, the 77-year-old woman was backing out of the driveway of an apartment building when she lost control and ended up in the lake.
The vehicle was nearly completely submerged, but the woman managed to get out of the vehicle. She was then helped out of the water by a pair of joggers who were passing by.
Paramedics said Wednesday night that the woman was taken to hospital only as a precaution.
