Let’s start with IIMs first. IIM A, IIM B and IIM C will begin their Personal Interview (PI) and Written Abilities Test (WAT) Round from the third week of February. Soon after, IIM L, IIM K and IIM Indore will start their Personal Interview and Written Abilities Test round from the end of February. The overall qualifying CAT cut-off for all these top IIMs was 90%.
New IIMs to conduct PI round in March
IIM-Shillong, IIM-Shillong, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur, the seven new IIMs, will be holding their WAT PI rounds in late March, after the process is over for top IIMs. What is interesting is that IIM Shillong and IIM Rohtak have different CAT cut off criteria than their peer IIMs. For instance, IIM Shillong, which will begin its WSAT-PI process in 2nd week of March, has announced a CAT-cut off of 70% in each of the CAT sections. IIM Rohtak has a more realistic qualifying CAT cut-off of 85%, compared to other new IIMs who have 90% cut-off. Click on this link to know admission status of each of new IIMs.
Top Private B-schools kick-start PI Rounds
Most top rated B-schools like SPJIMR, MDI Gurgaon and IMI New Delhi have not only announced their shortlists and cut-offs for final stage of admission round, but have also begun the GD-PI-WAT process.
What’s important is that while most of Top 10 Private B-schools have closed their application process for Admissions 2016-18, there are some opportunities still open for you! Applications are open for a few days at IMT Ghaziabad, MICA, Great Lakes, KJ Somiaya, BIMTECH, NIRMA University and a few others. Very New IIMs yet to decide
Coming to the very new IIMs, set up in 2015, they are yet to announce their Admission policy. IIM Amritsar, IIM BodhGaya, IIM Nagpur, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur and IIM Vizag are expected to announce their admission process in March and conduct their personal assessment rounds in April and May. Unfortunately while all top B-schools are almost about to complete their Admissions 2016 process, JBIMS hasn’t even stated! It is yet to announce its admission process for 2016, which are expected to be conducted via MAH-MBA CET exam conducted by the State Government.
