Non inclusion of Sikh regiment in R-Day parade non issue : Radical outfits

Hoshiarpur, Feb 4 (UNI) Dal Khalsa and Akali Dal Panch Pardani today said that non-inclusion of the Sikh regiment in the Republic day parade was ''non-issue'' for them and should be the same for the community at large.
Taking a dig at SAD controlled SGPC and DSGMC for voicing protest and regrets over the issue, the spokespersons of the outfits, Kanwar Pal Singh and Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, said it reflected the ''slave mindset'' of the present day Akali leadership.
''SAD should work on a larger canvass for the upholding of Sikh distinct identity rather than cribbing over such small issues,'' they said.
