'Vedhalam' was written and directed by Siruthai Siva in Tamil and dubbed into Telugu as 'Aavesham' which is yet to release.

The latest buzz is that Tollywood actor Power Star Pawan Kalyan is going to act in Telugu remake of super hit Tamil film Vedhalam. So the actor may reprise the role of Ajith in the Telugu remake of Vedhalam under the direction of S J Suryah. This will be their third combination after their duo past films Kushi and Puli.
Director SJ Suryah debuted in Tollywood with Kushi with Pawan Kalyan and Bhoomika. This was of the trend setter films and highest grossers at the box office in those days. He also wanted to direct its sequel with Pawan Kalyan but now Vedhalam's Telugu remake would be what they will work on.
Earlier, Pawan Kalyan had worked in a few remakes like Kushi and Gabbar Singh. These turned out be all-time blockbusters in Tollywood.
Currently, Pawan Kalyan is busy in completing his forthcoming film Sardaar Gabbar Singh. Shooting may wrap up by end of February. The makers are planning to release this film on April 8.
