The top office-bearers, several former Andhra players and a large number of cricket players and lovers were present as Vizag cricket lovers and admirers of former Test wicketkeeper and Andhra Ranji captain M.S.K. Prasad felicitated him on his becoming selector of BCCI’s senior national team, at Kalabharati here on Wednesday.

Andhra Cricket Association president D.V.S.S. Somayajulu, who presided over the function, and MP and general secretary of ACA Gokaraju Gangaraju hailed MSK’s progress and his administrative capabilities as ACA Director (cricket affairs) before taking over as national selector.

The three zonal academies for boys and the one for girls, which are now producing quality players, are his brainchild and their success has been noticed all over the country prompting BCCI to declare the girls’ academy at Guntur as its national academy.
