Complete Release
NEW ORLEANS - For the second time in as many meets, Scott broke the school record in the 60-meter dash after posting a time of 6.66 seconds — the best in the conference and 12th-fastest in the country this season — to finish second in a field of 50 runners at the Privateer Invitational this past weekend.

Scott, a sophomore, had broken his own USA standard earlier in the day with a mark of 6.70 seconds in qualifying. The sophomore also recorded his career-best time in the 200-meter dash on Sunday, crossing the line in 21.58 seconds to come in sixth place out of 67 competitors.  With his performance in the 200 meters, Scott moved up to third on the school’s all-time performance list and now ranks fourth in the league in the event.

Scott was named the Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Arkansas State's Kristina Knott earned her second Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award after logging two impressive performances at the KMS Invite to continue her stellar sophomore season. Knott posted back-to-back personal-bests in the 60-meter dash to move closer to the school record. She won the event with a time of 7.35 seconds, the second-fastest time in school history behind Sharika Nelvis (7.28).

In the 200-meter dash, she finished third but was the top collegiate finisher posting a personal-best time of 23.87 seconds, second in program history to Nelvis’ 23.50. Knott maintains the top spot in each event in the Sun Belt rankings and is top-25 nationally in each.

Georgia Southern's Jasmine Walker picked up this week's Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor after tallying a 5.93m (19'5.5") long jump to earn first place accolades at the Bob Pollock Invitational. This ranks Walker second in the league behind ASU's Knott in the long jump.

UL Lafayette's Ricky Theyard earned Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors after finishing second overall in the men's triple jump at the McNeese State Indoor Invite. Theyard posted a personal-best mark of 50'1.75" in the event which is the second-best mark in the Sun Belt this season and 46th nationally.
