Anupam Kher and Shashi Tharoor's Twitter exchange gets NASTY!

We are living in weird times it seems...

The actor didn't take Tharoor's jibe kindly and a war of words ensued...

Anupam Kher has been in the eye of the storm since a few days now. He created a a huge hue and cry about Aamir Khan's remark on intolerance in India. Recently, he was denied a visa to Pakistan. And when the Pakistan government requested him to reprocess his visa application, he couldn't accommodate the schedule due to dates crunch. That's their loss, Mr. Kher. But the mess doesn't just end there. Recently, in an interview, the actor voiced his concern about saying he scared of calling himself a Hindu. Congress MP, Shashi Tharoor pulls him up on the comment and he retorts. The rest gets ugly! Anupam Kher had said in an interview to IBNLive, "I am today scared of saying I am a Hindu. In this country I am scared to say that if a wear a tilak and saffron clothes I will be branded as an RSS guy." The Congress MP Shashi Tharoor decides to pull him up on twitter for this comment saying, "Come on Anupam. I say it all the time. I'm a proud Hindu. Just not the Sangh's kind of Hindu. @AnupamPkher." You would expect Kher to come up with a witty reply to this but it seems he got offended by this tweet. He resorted to some ugly name calling. He replied, "Come on Shashi. Never thought you will misinterpret my statement like trolls do. And behave like a Congi Chamcha." Hence, a simple twitter conversation turned into a nasty war of words when Tharoor retorted saying, ". Abuse, @AnupamPkher , is what you use when you run out of arguments.
