Coleen Rooney Pays Emotional Tribute To Late Sister Rosie

Coleen Rooney has paid touching tribute to her late sister Rosie on what would have been her 18th birthday.

Rosie McLoughlin tragically passed away in 2013 after fighting a brain disorder called Rett Syndrome, and Coleen marked her special day by sharing a photo from her wedding in 2008.

In the snap, Coleen and Rosie are lovingly smiling at one another, with the mother-of-three captioning the pic with: “Happy 18th Birthday to our very own angel! Love you Rosie xxx".

Coleen and her husband, Wayne, were understandably left “heartbroken” by Rosie’s death three years ago, with the 29-year-old star sharing the same photo in 2014 on what would have been the teen’s Sweet Sixteen.

The star’s parents, Tony and Colette, adopted Rosie as a baby and at the time of her death they released a statement reading: “Throughout her life, she brought so much love and happiness to all our family and everyone who knew and met her.

"She was such a strong little girl and an inspiration to us all. We shall cherish forever the memories we have shared and the love she showed us each and every day of her life.

"As a family we are heartbroken, but we are blessed to have had her in our lives.”

Rosie’s illness inspired Coleen and Wayne to help raise funds for sick, disadvantaged, and disabled children, with Coleen even making a documentary about the funding of children’s hospices in a bid to raise awareness.
