I would love to play Saina Nehwal onscreen: Deepika Padukone

New Delhi, Feb 3 (UNI) As Bollywood witnesses a season of biopics on ace sportspersons Milkha Singh, Major Dyanchand, Azharuddin and M S Dhoni, Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone says she would love to essay the role of ace badminton player Saina Nehwal on screen.
In response to a suggestion from Saina Nehwal, at the NDTV Indian of the year awards function here last night, Deepika, who is the daughter of ace Badminton player Prakash Padukone, said,'' I would love to play Saina onscreen. We have played together and obviously she was way better . She also said I was a good player. We had fun time. I would do anything for the love of sports, especially if it is badminton.''
It is notable that filmmaker Amol Gupte is making a film on the life of Indian badminton champion Saina Nehwal..
