Bungalow of ex-cop now head quarters for Ahmedabad cyber cell

AHMEDABAD: The 15 number bungalow located at Shahibaugh Dafnala will be buzzing with activities once again. After the arrest of retired IPS DG Vanzara the then SP, crime branch the bungalow mostly lay dormant with occasional visits of crime branch officials.
Now the city cyber cell, functional under the city crime branch has been shifted to this bungalow from Monday.
Deputy commissioner of police, crime branch Deepan Bhadran said assistant commissioner of police, cyber cell Rahul Patel and his staff of 40 officials and police personnels will be sitting in the new office.
“The infrastructure needed for functioning of the cyber cell has been shifted to the new premises. Offices of deputy commissioner of crime branch and joint commissioner of crime branch (CP) and (JCP), crime branch will also be there at the bungalow apart from the offices at crime branch head quarters at Gaekwad Haveli” added Bhadran.
It is noteworthy that city police chief Shivanand Jha, formally inaugurated the cyber cell office at the bungalow. Senior Police officials remained present in the function.
