SAPTARI: Some 12 persons were injured when a bus escorted by police met with an accident at Sitapur in Saptari district along the East-West Highway on Wednesday morning.

The bus (Na 2 Kha 3378) heading towards Kakarvitta from Kathmandu overturned after driver lost control following thick fog, according to the District Police Office, Saptari.

All the injured are receiving treatment at a hospital in Dharmeshwor, according to the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur.
