Kushinagar boy nabbed by ATS a minor, says his college
GORAKHPUR: Records at Buddha Inteolr Clege in Kurshinagar have confirmed that Imran (name changed) who was arrested by the Mumabi's Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) and UP police for ISIS links is a juvenile. College principal Ritesh Chaudhary , who was approached by the ATS on Tuesday, has confirmed that Imran's date of berth, as per the college records, was May 12, 1999.

The confirmation of Imran being a minor comes from his College a day after the TOI reported that he could possibly be the youngest jihadi arrested by the security agencies for links with the terror organisation.
Earlier, Imran's lawyer had approached the additional metropolitan magistrate's court in Sewria (Mumbai) and produced his Class X mark sheet claiming that he was just 16 years old. But the investigating agencies produced electoral records of Kushinagar showing him to be 20 years old. ATS team visited Kushinagar on Tuesday and went to BSA office to confirm the age of the terror accused. Thereafter they contacted Buddha Inter College where Imran is enrolled as a student of class XII.
