UPP leaders Tiwari, Rekhaget conditional bail

Pithoragarh, February 2

The Almora District and Sessions Judge released jailed Uttarakhand Parivartan Party (UPP) president PC Tiwari and senior leader Rekha Dhasmana on a conditional bail today.

The UPP leaders were arrested a week ago from Nainisar village in Almora district where they had gone to protest against the leasing of panchayat land to a private organization for building a residential school. “We are planning further action on the matter as the bail has been granted on the condition that Tiwari and Rekha will not enter the school premises at Nainisar,” said Prabhat Dhyani, a UPP leader. — OC
