A main source of ganja to Kollam city and peripheral areas was busted by the Chavara police with the arrest of a Thalassery native on Saturday. He was identified by the police as Nidhin, 30. Sub inspector G. Gopakumar said that at the time of his arrest Nidhin had 1.5 kg of ganja in his possession.
The arrested man allegedly supplied ganja to peddlers based in Neendakara and Shakthikulangara fishing harbours, Kollam beach, Paravur and the tsunami flats at Eravipuram. City Police Commissioner P. Prakash had received a tip-off that a man had been regularly supplying ganja in Kollam for the past two years.
