Under debt, young farmer ends life

A young farmer of Aasagav (Chauras) village in Paoni taluka committed suicide by hanging to a wooden plank in his house on Friday. He committed suicide due to very less paddy production, debt of bank and private money lender.

Bhandara: A young farmer of Aasagav (Chauras) village in Paonitaluka committed suicide by hanging to a wooden plank in his house on Friday. He committed suicide due to very less paddy production, debt of bank and private money lender.
Chandrashekhar Kore, 32, had one acre agriculture land. In kharif season of this year he got four quintals of paddy.
Earlier he was producing much more. He suffered heavy loss. To compensate the loss, he sowed wheat and other crops in rabi season, but due to insects and worms, the rabi crop could not yield desired produce. He then borrowed Rs1.5 lakh from bank and private money lender. Interest on the loans were increasing day by day and the private money lender was pressurizing him for repayment.
Eventually faced with no other alternative, he committed suicide. His wife came to know of the suicide today morning. Kore has left behind wife, a son and a daughter.
Sources said that he borrowed money from moneylender but the moneylender did not give him any receipt.
