NSUI pays tributes to Vemula

JAMMU, Jan 30: On the birthday of Rohit Vemula, a student of Central University Hyderabad, who had committed suicide, State unit of NSUI paid tributes to him by lighting candles outside Jammu University Main Gate.
The program was organized by Nasir Choudhary and several students from different colleges took part in the tribute paying programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Neeraj Kundan, State president of NSUI, said that Vemula was the voice of revolution against autocratic BJP Government, which has the policy of suppression and exploitation on weaker sections of the society. He demanded removal of Smriti Irani from Union HRD Ministry and initiation of criminal proceedings against Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Hyderabad.
Others who were present in the protest, included Raqeeq Khan, Wasim Saroori, Nitin Bakshi, Aftab keen, Abhishek Dogra,  Mumtaz Mugal, Abid Hussain, Zulfqar Ali, Israr Pathan, Haq Nawaz, Umar Hafiz, Irfan, Showket Malik and Adil Iqbal.
