Why is Ballari minister angry with Anupama?

Ballari: As labour minister and Ballari district in-charge PT Parameshwar Naik finds himself in a tight spot for sending DySP Anupama Shenoy on other office duty (OOD) to Indi in Vijayapura district, the big question is why he is angry with her.
The issue started when the Ballari minister called up the Kudligi taluk deputy superintendent of police (DySP) on January 18 to ask "why a suicide case was reportedly converted into a murder case" when it was being closed.The DySP had started questioning Venkatesh Naik, a supporter of the minister, in the case pertained to the death of Dodda Yamunappa, 30, whose body was found in Hagaribomanahalli in Ballari district on May 17 last year. A bottle of poison was found near him.
Though police termed it a suicide in the FIR, Y amunappa's fami ly suspected it to be a murder. Sources close to the family said a constable from Hagaribommanahalli allegedly harassed Yamunappa's wife Jyothi and her brothers to get their signatures on blank papers.
When the harassment increased, Jyothi approached Ballari SP R Chethan seeking reopening of the c ase. The SP then deputed Anupama to probe the case. During investigation, the DySP started questioning Venkatesh. Meanwhile, as the forensic report showed that Yamunappa was murdered, his family pointed the finger at Venkatesh Naik and his brother Shivu Naik. Venkatesh used to hire Yamunappa's lorry to transport cucumber to Hyderabad.
Instead of turning up for interrogation, Venkatesh allegedly approached the minister to bail him out. It is alleged that the minister called up Anupama after that.
Jyothi said, "There was no family or finance problem for Yamunappa to commit suicide. He used to promptly pay the EMI for repaying the loan taken to buy the lorry. We don't know the reason for his death. The manner in which his body was found points to murder."
Chetan told reporters on Friday that after he received a complaint from Yamunappa's family, he changed the investigation officer and handed over the case to Anupama.
Last year, Ballari district minister PT Parameshwar Naik reportedly took a police sub-inspector to task for not reporting to him after joining duty in Hagaribommanahalli. Bheemanna Gouda, who was posted to Tambrahalli police station in Hagaribommanahalli in March 2015, has recorded the humiliation he reportedly faced from the minister in a logbook.
