NDFB-S rebel, linkman held in Chirang district

GUWAHATI: In a joint operation by the Army and police, an NDFB (S) cadre and a linkman were apprehended along with arms and ammunition in Chirang district on Thursday. The apprehended cadre was identified as Gangaraj Wary alias Dableu Gold, a cadre from the outfit's 40th batch. He was trained in Myanmar.
Army sources said the militant was wanted in the killing of two Adivasis and burning down of 60 houses at Koirabari on December 24, 2014.The apprehended linkman was identified as Kalicharan Brahma.
