Piero Golia, creator of Chalet Dallas, was born in 1974 in Naples, Italy and has lived in Los Angeles since 2003. His work has been shown in major galleries and museums in Europe and the United States, including the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, MOMA P.S. 1 in New York, MaXXi in Rome, Witte de With in Rotterdam, SITE Santa Fe, and Gagosian Gallery in Los Angeles. In 2004, his feature film Killer Shrimps was selected for the Venice Film Festival, and in 2005, he co-founded the Mountain School of Arts, an educational institution that has rapidly become a major center on the cultural map of the city of Los Angeles.
