Coconino County is considering expanding its snow play areas.

FLAGSTAFF - Forecasters are calling for more than a foot of snow in parts of northern Arizona with a cold Pacific storm moving into the region Sunday.

The National Weather Service says snow will continue through Monday, dumping up to 15 inches in Flagstaff, Williams and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Fredonia, Window Rock and Show Low will see up to 8 inches of snow.

The storm will be accompanied by strong winds that could create areas of blowing snow on roadways and near-whiteout conditions. Snow levels are expected to fall to 2,500 feet Monday.

Other areas of the state will be dealing with blowing dust and wet roads.
