The Jaihindpuram police have arrested three persons, including an Indo-Tibetan Border Police constable, B. Pandiyarajan (29), for assaulting his wife and his father-in-law with deadly weapons, on Thursday.

Police said that Pandiyarajan used to frequently quarrel with his wife Saroja (25).

Recently, she delivered a child. A quarrel ensued between Saroja when Pandiyarajan’s sister visited her in the hospital.

Following this, the constable along with his brothers-in-law, B. Murugan (32) and P. Sakthivel (34), barged into their house and attacked his wife and her father with weapons.

While the woman sustained minor injuries, her father sustained grievous cut injury on his head and was admitted to Government Rajaji Hospital.
