Talk to focus on schools of ancient India

Centre for Gandhian and Peace Studies, Manipal University, will organise a special talk on “Philosophical schools of Ancient India” here on Saturday.

According to a press release here on Friday, the talk will be held at the LH-1 in the first floor of the Old Tapmi Building behind Manipal Post-Office at 4.30 p.m. Prof. Tantri has widely published in the fields of culture, dharma shastras, folklore, anthropology and epistemology.

“Sanootana Dharmadarshana,” “Srishti-Pralaya-Marusrishti” and “Sanatana Dharmada Maggalugalu” are his books. He has also translated anthropologist Iravati Karve’s book ‘Yuganta’ on Mahabharata into Kannada. He has studied philosophies of the East and the West.
