MUMBAI: A biker and his friend riding pillion died after their motorcycle crashed into a divider near the Bandra-Worli Sea Link on Thursday night. The deceased—biker Mohammed Shaikh (20) and Shakeel Shaikh (21)—are Kurla residents and were not wearing helmets.
The duo’s friends, who were following them on another bike, said they were on their way to Carter Road. But the police said, “After Kalanagar signal, they went towards the sea link, not towards Carter Road.”
One of their friends said, “Mohammed sped off after the signal turned green at Kala Nagar, but we got stuck as it turned red.
When we left the signal, we found Mohammed and Shakeel on the road with injuries.”
