Woman commits suicide by consuming poison in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 29 (UNI) A woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison in the apple township of Sopore in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, a police spokesperson said here today.
He said the woman consumed some poisonous substance at her residence in Rafiabad in Baramulla. The woman was immediately taken to Public Health Centre Rohama where she was declared brought dead.
It was not immediately clear why she took this extreme step, he said, adding police have registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the circumstances which formed the woman to commit suicide.
