Margao: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai, together with the newly-formed political outfit, Goa Forward, on Thursday, raised objections to the release of the book Nathuram Godse-The story of an assassin that is scheduled to be held on January 30, the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
The book will be released at the hands of former Fatorda MLA and chairman of Ravindra Bhavan, Damodar Naik alias Damu.

Speaking to mediapersons, Sardesai termed the event "anti-national" and even questioned the motive of the organizers in holding the function to coincide with the death anniversary of Gandhi.
"The government is trying to disturb peace by going ahead with its divisive agenda," he said.
Stating that his constituency was getting maligned by the event, Sardesai wondered aloud if it was Naik's attempt "to please his bosses to get a ticket for Fatorda constituency."
Condemning the move, the Fatorda MLA said he and his supporters would hold a 'satyagraha' at the entrance of the venue and not allow anyone to enter. "It's deplorable that the murderers of Gandhiji are eulogized on the day of his death anniversary," Sardesai said.
State secretary of Goa Forward, Mohandas Lolienkar, said the outfit would submit a memorandum to the district collector urging him to prevent the book release.
