Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the most popular daily soaps on TV. It has been a favourite with viewers since seven years. People love the jodi of Akshara (Hina Khan) and Naitik (Karan Mehra). Viewers gave a lot of love to the young onscreen couple and the show enjoyed a long run. So, it was shocking when news floated in that Karan Mehra might be quitting the show. At present, they are in Hong Kong shooting the engagement of Naksh (Rohan Mehra) and Tara (Umang Jain). This is the upcoming high point of the show. An insider informed us that post this there will be a leap on the show and Karan was to be shown as a 50-year-old man. This apparently did not go down well with the 33-year-old actor, who refused to look aged on the show. He is already shown as father to a son of marriageable age. The makers are trying to convince him but he is pretty adamant about it. If things don’t materialize, then the actor might leave the show in a few weeks. In fact, his exit is almost confirmed. Karan, who has been associated with the show since seven years is a popular face on TV. Before entering the industry, he worked as an assistant director in films.
