Bird census process kicks off at Nal Sarovar and Thol Sanctuary

Counting of birds kicked off today at Nal Sarovar and Thol bird sanctuary near Ahmedabad. Counting will continue tomorrow. Entry of visitors has been banned during these two days.
At Nal Sarovar, there are total 38 blocks created. In each block, 3-4 persons would conduct the counting process. Four reservoirs namely Vadla dam, Viththalgadh, Bhaskarpura are covered in this census process with allocation of 4 blocks and 12 persons. At Thol sanctuary, 8 blocks are created with allocation of 24 employees. In total 170 persons will join the process.
