Making a difference…

Hundred women achievers were felicitated by the President of India recently. Grace Pinto, Managing Director or Ryan International Group of Institutions was one among the coveted group.

President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, felicitated Grace Pinto, Managing Director, Ryan International Group of Institutions, during a lunch hosted for 100 women achievers on January 22, 2016, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the first anniversary of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme.  

Mrs. Pinto was selected among ‘100 Women Achievers’ by the Women and Child Development (WCD) Ministry for her commendable contribution in the field of education. Maneka Gandhi, Minister of Women & Child Welfare was present.     

The Union Ministry of Women and Child Development had launched the ‘#100Women Initiative’ to recognise women who made a difference to their communities in various fields such as education, arts and culture, environment, healthcare etc.

The process involved a contest to select 100 women achievers through public nominations via social media.

Mrs. Pinto, who received the honour said, “I greatly commend the efforts of the Ministry of Women and Child Development to empower women in our country and recognise their contribution in the country. I thank the Hon’ble President for bestowing this honour and am grateful to Lord Jesus Christ for this recognition.  I dedicate this award to all my Ryan staff, parent community and well wishers.  We will continue our efforts to make quality education accessible in every part of our country in order to empower the youth of nation.”
