Mad Dash: Steve Kerr names one thing Curry, Jordan have in common

Stephen Curry has risen from a good NBA prospect coming out of college to arguably the greatest shooter of his generation, if not all-time, in just a few short years. One guy who knows a few things about superstar players is Curry's head coach, Steve Kerr, who played with the biggest star of them all – Michael Jordan. What do the two basketball stars have in common? Kerr's answer might surprise you:

"There is an aura that’s similar,” Kerr said. “Steph is obviously a worldwide phenomenon now and you see a thousand people watching him warm up or you see a couple hundred people at the hotel at 2 a.m. trying to get his autograph, that’s similar to the Michael phenomenon."

We also feel like the seemingly dramatic and sudden rise of Curry's popularity and greatness is pretty similar to Jordan's emergence in the late '80's with the Chicago Bulls, but we suppose that goes hand-in-hand with what Kerr is saying. Either way, the two players styles and personalities couldn't be more different, but the end result still gives off a rare kind of greatness. And for that, we're just grateful to be able to say we saw them both play.

A year ago, we told about the New Orleans Pelicans' terrifying King Cake baby, and we've got bad news – it's back, and it's as terrifying as ever. The team shared video of the baby spooking people in New Orleans, which feels unfair. It also shared plenty of pictures of people smiling with the baby, pictures we're sure were taken only after many minutes of recovering from the initial terror. If we saw that baby coming, we'd run the other way.

Finally, if you're going to come after a celebrity or athlete on Twitter, at least do your homework. When Jason Dufner took a little dig at the NFC East from his own account, a lazy Twitter troll had the laziest retort. And Dufner, well, burned that guy. And then did it again. You're going to have to do a lot better than that, buddy.
