He started keeping a count of the number of snakes he caught and rescued since 1997. If any one asks for Balasubramaniam the name does not ring a bell among the people of Mysuru. But ‘Snake Shyam’ instantly does as the friendly and snake catcher, who rushes to catch the slithering reptile from any place be it in a house or any other place across the city.
