Legendary Kenyan DJ Pinye made a big announcement during his 45th birthday party at Carnivore's Simba Saloon. The spin master has retired from the music industry and will now be mentoring young upcoming talent.

He also launched his much-awaited project dubbed 'Dreams 2 Beats' that is aimed at providing management and guidance to Kenyan talent.

The emotional farewell left Pinye in tears. This was compounded by a performance by Amos and Josh. They dedicated their rendition of the 90's hit song Shai's If I Ever Fall In Love to Pinye.

The party themed Grown & Sexxy was also headlined by DJ Stylez and DJ Nijo. It was attended by his close family, friends and fans.
