- Collaboration between arvato Systems and the University of Paderborn
- More than twenty students successfully participate in seminar on risk management
A total of more than 20 business studies students at the University of Paderborn successfully took part in this risk management seminar, which concluded on December 16, 2015 at the arvato Systems premises. The aim of this well established collaboration is to firmly link theoretical approaches with practical, real-world examples. To this end, advisors and managers from arvato Systems were on hand with CeRiMa employees to help guide the students through on-site course activities. During the semester, they jointly developed risk strategies in preparation for the TTIP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership). Exciting case studies included copyright risk using the Disney media group as an example, opportunities for the agricultural industry on the European market as well as reducing market barriers for the American entertainment industry. By developing the case study, the participants had the opportunity to demonstrate and deepen their professional knowledge. And in the feedback rounds, the students were able to demonstrate their presentation and communication skills.
Promoting tomorrow's young professionals through continuous collaboration
arvato Systems and CeRiMa have been working in collaboration since 2010 when they joined forces for an initial joint educational project on risk management. This collaboration has continued to develop steadily ever since. In addition to regularly scheduled seminars, a further focus is placed on the joint supervision of bachelor's, master's and doctoral theses. Both the intensive collaboration of the participants and regular lectures and courses ensure this Gütersloh-based IT company always has a steady stream of suitable employees. Prof. Schiller (head of CeRiMa) and André Alisch (arvato Systems) are already looking forward to continuing this collaboration in the coming semesters.
