Palghar man found dead in train
MUMBAI: A Palghar resident travelling in a Dadar-Dahanu MEMU train was found dead inside the compartment on Sunday evening. While the Government Railway Police (GRP) suspect Harish Pawar had suffered a cardiac arrest, co-passengers said that he was assaulted by an unidentified man at Dadar station and may have died of internal injuries.
The Palghar GRP have registered an accidental death case, but are awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the cause of death.

The commuters told the GRP that at Dadar, the unidentified man barged into the compartment and accused Pawar of shooting a video of him and his female friend as they were waiting on the station. The man assaulted Pawar and jumped off the train as it began pulling out of the station.
The commuters said that at Andheri, it looked like Pawar had dozed off, but when he did not get up even when the train reached Virar, they got worried and when the train reached Palghar at 7pm, a passenger alerted the GRP.
Pawar was taken to a nearby government hospital, where the doctors declared him dead on admission.
