Sampuran Bagri,51, a senior announcer at All India Radio, Rohtak, will give live commentary during the Republic Day function in New Delhi tomorrow in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief guest French President Francois Hollande.
Bagri, who hails from Halu Mohalla of the town, said he received the first invitation for live commentary in 2010 and since then, he had been doing it every year. Apart from the Republic Day functions, he had done live commentary for programmes attended by former President Pratibha Patil and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Delhi.– TNS
