3 held with arms, drugs in Mansa

MANSA: The Mansa police have nabbed three persons from Sardulgarh for having three weapons with live cartridges, 10.



Mansa, January 25

The Mansa police have nabbed three persons from Sardulgarh for having three weapons with live cartridges, 10.1 kg poppy husk and 240 bottles of Indian home-made liquor in their possession.

The police claimed that the accused were travelling in a car from the Meerpur Khurd village side and were stopped by the police at a check post installed ahead of Republic Day.

The weapons seized included two 315 bore weapon along with six live cartridges and one 12 bore pistol with five live cartridges.

SSP Mansa Raghubir Singh Sandhu said, “The accused were identified as Sharanjit Sarni of Sardulgarh town, Rohi Ram Kala of Sirsa (Haryana) and Manneer Kumar Ravi of Sardulgarh. The accused have been booked at Sardulgarh police station under Sections of the NDPS Act, Excise Act and Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act.” — TNS
