Why were Dhananjaya and Sanchita in Thailand?
The team of the Kannada film Badmaash has just returned from its weeklong schedule in Thailand, where they shot for two songs. 'We shot for the song Ishta Ishta Adre in a quaint village called Hua Hin in Bangkok,' says debutant director Akash Srivatsa, popularly known as Vatsa. 'The lyrics are interesting because they are all put together by actual pickup lines that people use on social media these days.
So you could call it one of those cheesy songs that is colloquial and, therefore, one that will connect with the younger generation,' he explains. The other song, Mayavi Kanase, was shot in Pattaya.
Sanchita, who was in Thailand for the first time, feels that it is a richly-shot film, adding, 'There are so many layers to my character that make the experience all the more fun. I did not get to see much more of the city other than the places we shot at, but I did not miss out on my daily dose of massages while I was there. But all said and done, this is one film I am really looking forward to this year.' The lead actor Dhananjaya tells us, 'I am not much of a dancer, but it really works wonders when you have a choreographer like Murali who understands your comfort levels and gets you to work your way around that. These two songs will probably give you a very different picture of my dance skills ' positively, of course.'
