JAMMU, Jan 24: A Principal of a private institution has been arrested for molesting a class 10th student.
As per police sources, Principal of Radiant Academy at Parlah Biaspur namely Ravi Kumar, son of Chuni Lal during winter vacation (on January 12) had called a class 10th student of his institution to his residence in the school premises and later molested her.
He threatened the girl of dire consequences if she revealed the matter to anyone.
However, the girl narrated the ordeal to her father, who lodged a complaint with police station Arnia in this regard.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 6/16 under Section 354 RPC has been registered at Arnia police station and after searches, police arrested the accused principal.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Arnia police station Abid Rafiqi made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
