Battle of words

The Rotary Club of Bangalore recently saw the annual intercollegiate debate programme ‘Rotary Bangalore Yadalam Nanjaiah Setty Shield’, with 26 debaters battling it out in the preliminaries for the finals.

The debate was on the topic ‘Do numbers define a person’s intelligence?’ After a vibrant verbal skirmish with examples from Einstein to Steve Jobs, the final winners were Anshul Wadhwa and Atul Ganguly of XIME. Aditi Mallya were in second place with Kristu Jayanti College coming in third. Rtn YG Ramkumar of the Yadalam family was present and sponsored the cash prizes.
