PDC employees seek retirement benefits

The employees of Power Development Corporation in Jammu and Kashmir Department Saturday alleged that only a few employees have been availing the retirement benefits while majority of the employees have been roaming from pillar to post to avail such benefits.The employees of Power Development Corporation Saturday organized a press conference in which they alleged that the majority of the retired employees are not given retirement benefits while only a few retired employees avail such benefits. “It is irony that the pension cases related to the year 1994 and 1995 were cleared by the department while the same cases related to 1989 have been put in abeyance. This is injustice towards the senior employees of the corporation and we appeal to the authorities to consider old cases as well,” Ajaz Ahmed General Secretary PDC Association told CNS.They warned if there cases were not cleared they will hit to streets.Principal Secretary to JKPDC NR Gupta said that he will look into the matter and will clear all the pending cases under law.
