    Jaipur Lit Fest: Ambit Holdings's Ashok Wadhwa hosts dinner for Thomas Piketty

    Economist Thomas Piketty, who recently attended the Jaipur Lit fest was treated to delectable Rajasthani delicacies at the sit-down dinner.

    JAIPUR: Ashok Wadhwa, CEO, Ambit Holdings, and his wife Reena, hosted an exclusive dinner to welcome renowned economist, Thomas Piketty to the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival 2016.
    The day witnessed a soiree of wordsmiths, corporate leaders and the crème-de-la-crème of society for a sit-down dinner, which was co-hosted with the producers and directors of the festival at the Taj Rambagh Palace.

    The guest list included the likes of Mr. Leo and Mrs. Avni Puri, Mr. Vikram and Mrs. Tasneem Mehta, Mr. Punit and Mrs. Shreyasi Goenka, Mr. Naushad Forbes, Mr. Ronnie Screwvala, Ms. Zarina Mehta, Mrs. Bijal Meswani, acclaimed author Mr. Thomas Piketty and his wife, Julia, Mr. Suhel Seth, author and comedian Mr. Stephen Fry, Mr. Jonathan Shainin, Mr. David Mrs. Michal Grossman, Marie Brenner and Indian super-model Lakshmi Menon, among others.

    Ashok Wadhwa raised a toast to Thomas Piketty and the other authors and guests present at the table.

    "I was not aware that I was supposed to speak tonight, but it is a great honour to be here and being able to come to Jaipur Literature Festival 2016. It is more important than ever today to have a gathering like this and I am really looking forward to being a part of the event over the next few days", said Piketty thanking the hosts.
