High School Roundup: Calderon goes for 20 for Costa Mesa

SANTA ANA — Senior guard Chris Calderon scored 20 points for the Mustangs in the Orange Coast League game on Friday.

Senior center Mason Tufuga produced a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds and senior forward Nabeel Salameh added eight points for Costa Mesa (12-11, 4-1 in league).

The Mustangs play host to Calvary Chapel Friday at 7 p.m.

Newport Harbor 53, Marina 46

Charlie Stassel scored 17 points and Nate Harding added 16 points for the Sailors in the Sunset League game on Friday.

Colin Pipkin scored 11 points for Newport Harbor (18-4, 3-1 in league), which plays at Edison on Wednesday to conclude the first half of leaue play.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Sage Hill 56, Crean Lutheran 40

Heather Park scored 23 points to lead the Lightning in the Academy League home game on Friday.

Kenna Knollenberg added 13 points and Emily Hublitz scored 10 points for Sage Hill (12-5, 4-1 in league).

The Lightning play at Oxford Academy on Tuesday.
