60 structures demolished in Sonepat

SONEPAT, JANUARY 22

A demolition squad led by Nishant Yadav, SDM, Sonepat, and DSP Mukesh Kumar today removed about 60 unauthorized structures at the local mini-secretariat and the judicial complex.

Most of the structures demolished with the help of a JCB machine were owned by deed writers, stamp vendors, notaries, photo copiers etc.

Justifying the action, the SDM explained that the administration had served notices on the owners of these structures that had been removed after completing all formalities. There were only 50 licence holders who would be shifted and the area would be utilised for a public purpose, he said. - OC
