District Election officer Doda, Bhupinder Kumar today chaired a meeting of District Officer in his office chambers and reviewed the arrangements for the celebration of National Voter Day-2016.Threadbare discussions were held on the series of activities to be undertaken at District headquarters and at Tehsil levels. It was decided that at District Headquarters the day will be celebrated by Distribution of EPIC Cards to the new voters followed by felicitation of best performing BLOs in the recently concluded special summary revision. The entire function will be held in premises of Government Higher Secondary Schools Boys Doda whereafter the DEO’s address all the participants will take pledge to participate in the Electoral registration and voting process besides the students will also throw light on the importance of this day at the venue, he added.This will be followed by a rally by students from Government Higher Secondary School Boys Doda which will be flagged off by DEO Doda and after passing through the town the rally will culminate back at the GHSS Boys Doda, DEO further informed.Mr Kumar asked all the officer to make concerted efforts to spread awareness about the day by organizing similar functions across the district.
