About 375 persons with different disabilities will be recruited in different government departments of Gujranwala division under the 3 percent special quota reserved for the special persons.
According to Acting Gujranwala Division Commissioner Muhammad Aamir Jaan, there are a total of 17,543 registered persons with different physical disabilities including 2,992 visually-impaired persons across Gujranwala Division.
Aamir Jaan stated that out of the total 375 reserved seats, 191 handicapped persons including 81 visually-impaired persons have been recruited across the division.
The acting commissioner informed that 24 special persons out of a total 1,260 physically disabled persons have been given jobs in Sialkot district, 7 out of 1,013 in Narowal district, 92 out of 2,443 in Gujrat district, 11 out of 1,003 in Mandi Bahauddin district, 17 out of 6,700 in Hafizabad district and 40 handicapped persons out of total 5,124 have been given government jobs in Gujranwala district.
